Other UUMH Activities

 

Men’s Breakfast Group (MUUGS). An informal group that meets for breakfast and conversation on the third Thursday of each month, except in July and August. On occasion there is a brief presentation of a topic of interest to the group. All men are welcome.

 

 

 

 

Women’s Luncheon Group. An informal group that meets for lunch and conversation on the second Wednesday of each month, at noon, at Hearth ‘n Kettle in Orleans. All women are welcome.

 

 

 

 

Potluck Suppers and Picnics. Suppers are planned on occasion, usually in the Fleck Room, with conversation and entertainment. Picnic scheduling follows the seasons and availability of local venues. All such events are open to everyone, and visitors and other newcomers are encouraged to attend. Announcements of these events may be found on the website or in the Newsletter.

 

 

 

 

Art Exhibits. Artist members and invitees from the community exhibit paintings and other art work in shows curated by the Art Exhibits Committee. New exhibits are hung in the Fleck Room usually every month from October to April.

 

 

 

 

 

Coffee Hour. Each Sunday after the Service from October to April, the congregation gathers downstairs in the Fleck Room for conversation, coffee, refreshments, and to view the art on the walls. During the warmer months, refreshments are served in the portico outside the front door. Visitors and other newcomers are especially encouraged to attend.

 

 

 

 

Third Monday Book Club. Meets 10:30 -12:00 a.m. the third Monday of each month. Participants discuss a variety of books which have been suggested by members. Each person has an opportunity to facilitate the group. Everyone is welcome to attend.

 

 

 

 

 

The Gathering. A women's evening get-together on the second Monday of each month, for conversation, socializing, viewing of selected films, eating popcorn, and having fun. All women are welcome.
